- This policy defines when and how cancellations and refunds are processed, ensuring clarity for buyers and sellers using www.SCRAPCART.com and its related services (“Site”).
- By using the Site, you agree to abide by the terms of this Refund and Cancellation Policy, along with the User Agreement and other applicable policies.
- Scrapcart reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Changes will become effective upon posting on the Site. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

ELIGIBITY FOR REFUNDS:
- Refunds are applicable for Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) or other payments made towards Scrapcart services.
- Refunds will only be issued in the following cases:
- Auction cancellation by Scrapcart.
- Tender cancellation or non-allocation of items.
- Listing cancellation by Scrapcart prior to allocation or sale.
- Marketplace transaction cancellation due to seller unavailability, item non-delivery, or non-compliance with terms.
- Payments made in error due to verified technical or system issues.
- Refund requests made outside these conditions will not be entertained.
PROCESSING TIMELINE
- Refunds for eligible cases will be processed within 5–7 business days from confirmation.
- In the event of auction, tender, or listing cancellations, or marketplace non-allocation, refunds will be initiated automatically within 5–7 days. No user action is required.
- In case of refunds due to errors or disputes, users must contact Scrapcart support with transaction details for verification.
MODE OF REFUND
- Refunds will be credited only to the same account or payment method used for the original transaction.
- No alternative account, cash refund, or third-party transfers will be permitted.
AUCTION, TENDER, LISTING, AND MARKETPLACE CANCELLATIONS
- Auction Cancellations: If an auction is cancelled or items are not allocated despite participation, Scrapcart will refund EMD or payments automatically within 5–7 business days.
- Tender Cancellations: If a tender process is withdrawn, cancelled, or items are not awarded, Scrapcart will initiate a refund within 5–7 business days.
- Listing Cancellations: If Scrapcart cancels a seller’s listing prior to allocation or completion, the relevant payments will be refunded.
- Marketplace Cancellations: In case of marketplace order cancellations due to seller unavailability, non-delivery, or Scrapcart’s decision to withdraw a transaction, the user will receive a refund within 5–7 business days.
- Notifications of refund initiation will be sent via registered email.
CANCELLATION BY USERS
- Users may withdraw from auctions, tenders, listings, or marketplace transactions in line with Scrapcart’s terms and deadlines.
- In case of user-initiated cancellations:
- EMD or participation fees may not be refundable if specified in the auction/tender rules.
- Marketplace cancellations requested by buyers will be subject to seller and Scrapcart approval.
- Refund eligibility will strictly follow the terms published for the specific transaction.
SCRAPCART’S RIGHTS IN CANCELLATION CASES
- Scrapcart reserves the right to cancel any auction, tender, listing, or marketplace transaction under circumstances including but not limited to:
- Fraudulent, illegal, or suspicious activity.
- Violation of Scrapcart’s User Agreement or auction/tender rules.
- Technical or operational issues impacting fair conduct.
- Seller non-compliance in marketplace transactions.
- In such cases, refunds will be issued to eligible users as per this policy.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR DELAYS
- Scrapcart ensures timely initiation of refunds but is not liable for delays caused by third-party payment gateways, banks, or external financial institutions.
- Users are advised to check with their banks in case refunds are not reflected within the standard processing time.
