SHIPPING RESPONSIBILITY:

  1. Marketplace Transactions: Shipping may be managed directly by sellers or by Scrapcart through approved logistics partners, depending on the transaction terms.
  2. Auctions, Tenders, and Listings: Buyers are generally responsible for arranging pickup and transportation of items from the seller’s location, unless otherwise specified.
  3. Scrapcart acts as a facilitator and is not directly responsible for physical movement of goods unless explicitly mentioned in the transaction terms.

SHIPPING MODES AND OPTIONS

  • Scrapcart supports multiple delivery options depending on the transaction type:
    • Seller-Arranged Delivery: Sellers arrange for logistics and provide proof of dispatch.
    • Buyer Pickup: Buyers collect items from the seller’s designated location.
    • Scrapcart Logistics Partner: In selected cases, Scrapcart may arrange shipping through its logistics partners, subject to availability and applicable charges.
  • The mode of shipping will be communicated during or after the completion of the transaction.

SHIPPING TIMELINES

  1. Marketplace orders are generally shipped within 5–10 business days from confirmation, unless otherwise stated by the seller.
  2. Auction, tender, and listing items must be picked up by buyers within the timeframe specified in the auction/tender terms (typically 7–15 business days).
  3. Scrapcart is not liable for delays caused by sellers, buyers, logistics partners, or external factors beyond its control (such as strikes, transport restrictions, or natural calamities).

SHIPPING COSTS

  1. Shipping costs may be:
    1. Included in the item price (if explicitly mentioned).
    2. Charged separately to the buyer (in marketplace or Scrapcart-arranged logistics).
    3. Entirely borne by the buyer in case of self-arranged pickup.
  2. Costs will be communicated upfront during checkout or in auction/tender documentation.

ORDER TRACKING AND COMMUNICATION

  • For marketplace deliveries handled by sellers or Scrapcart logistics partners, tracking details (if available) will be shared with buyers.
  • Buyers are encouraged to stay in touch with sellers directly for pickup coordination in auction, tender, or listing transactions.

PACKAGING AND HANDLING

  1. Sellers are responsible for ensuring that items are packed and handled adequately for safe delivery or pickup.
  2. Scrapcart is not responsible for damages caused due to inadequate packaging, mishandling by third-party couriers, or buyer-arranged transportation.

DELAYS IN SHIPPING

  • While Scrapcart strives for timely delivery, delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including:
    • Third-party courier or logistics issues.
    • Buyer unavailability for pickup/delivery.
    • Regulatory or transport restrictions.
  • In such cases, Scrapcart will make reasonable efforts to facilitate resolution but will not be held liable for financial or operational losses caused by delays.

SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS

  • Shipping may not be available to certain remote, restricted, or high-risk areas.
  • Items classified as hazardous, restricted by law, or requiring special permits may not be eligible for Scrapcart-arranged shipping and must be handled directly by buyers and sellers in compliance with applicable regulations.
